The "Can Do's" of an LDA
As an LDA, I become an invaluable member of a legal team by providing expert assistance to my clients as they navigate unfamiliar legal matters. However, potential clients must understand, I am a member of their legal team, and it is their responsibility to direct and manage the team. For this reason, I offer my clients extensive resources to help them better understand their own unique legal challenges and how they are expected to navigate it.
For any person facing an unfamiliar legal proceeding, they are confronted with, retaining the services of a qualified Legal Document Assistant is likely to provide them with an affordable and stress-free solution. Before you proceed, everyone should consider the following:
When filing case documents, the documents themselves will be subject to great scrutiny by the court. If the forms are improperly completed, they can be rejected. Should this happen, the filer can find themselves back at square one. An LDA is familiar with court filing requirements and can avoid transgression. However, should the issue arise, the error or omission can be quickly resolved. This will avoid loss of time and additional expense.
In all legal matters, legal documents must be properly filed, but it is equally important that the filer understands the legal process that will take place after filing. If going the process alone, this can best be understood through extensive legal research. Self-Help links provided on this site will help an individual find the source of the information they require. The depth of legal research is limited only by the researcher. Because we are precluded from telling individuals what to do, we can only provide them with published sources that have the capacity to answer most legal questions.
As the owner of On-Point Legal Services, I only accept cases where my client and I work collectively as a team.
